Delete your Ongee account

How to delete your Ongee account, and what happens to your data when you do.

How to delete your account

  1. Open Ongee and go to You.
  2. Tap Delete account, type DELETE, then tap Delete my account.
  3. Your account is deleted at once, with the words on that phone.

No longer have the app? Email us

  1. Email hello@ongee.app from the address you sign in to Ongee with.
  2. Use the subject “Delete my account”.
  3. We delete your account within 30 days and confirm by email.

What we delete

  • Your account: your email address and account id.
  • The languages you learn and your level.
  • Your subscription status.
  • Feedback you sent from the app.
  • Usage records linked to your account.
  • Your beta signup, if you joined the beta.

What stays on your phone

  • Your words and reviews live only on your phone. Deleting your account in the app removes them, and so does deleting the app.

What we keep

  • Nothing linked to you. Crash reports (Sentry) carry no account id, and anonymous analytics in PostHog have no profile to delete.
